Sunset on Fortress Wapping

'Fortress Wapping', site of the high profile union disputes that followed the sacking of 6,000 News International staff in 1986, was sold off to developers in 2012. Awaiting demolition, the forlorn-looking offices of James Murdoch and Rebekah Brooks (hers complete with walk-in wardrobe) are still identifiable. The grade-2 listed rum warehouse that previously housed the offices of The Times will remain, while most of the site will be levelled to make way for shops, offices and housing.
